Dave's Straw Hat Inn

A favorite among many (it's currently rated as Boracay's top hotel on TripAdvisor!), Dave's is a winner because of it's warm and friendly atmosphere.

Before anything else, know that Dave's Straw Hat Inn is not on White Beach. This partly explains why their rates are so reasonable. However, you shouldn't be put off by this, as the Inn is less than a minute's walk away from the main beach (in the Boat Station 3 area) on a pleasant little path.

Expect nothing too fancy from Dave's- the rooms and bathrooms are basic, but very clean and well-maintained. Amenities are good, including hot and cold water, airconditioning, cable television, WiFi and more. A particularly nice touch, I think, is that the Inn offers free use of our outdoor BBQ cooking facilities for all guests- great if you feel like buying some fresh fish and seafood from the local market.

Reading through visitor opinions and feedback on Dave's, one realizes that what guests love the most about the Inn are its people- specifically, the personalised service one gets at the Straw Hat Inn. Because when you're in a strange place far away from home, that may just be the ultimate luxury.
